These classes incorporate traditional Yoga postures (Asana) with mindful and controlled transitions in alignment with the breath. These slow transitions and longer holds increase strength and refines the ability to control and understand the unique requirements of our body. Great for curious beginners to intermediate students. (75 mins)
We start when it’s dark and practice into the light. Flowing and intuitive, according to the feel of the morning. Open minded and exploratory students will like this class. (60 mins)
The word Vinyasa comes from the Sanskrit language. In English we often translate it as: to place in a special way. So, in this class we aim to be a little more creative with our movements and our transitions. Always mindful of alignment and the unique requirements of the body, each posture is first described and held for at least five breaths. These movements are then repeated with transitions that create a flowing sequence at an increased pace, usually one breath one movement. Everyone’s body is different and each day we may feel different, students are therefore given lots of options to work at their own level. Great for students with previous knowledge of yoga. (75 mins)
